RIETVELD by rietveld is an initiative of grandson Egbert Rietveld (b. 1961) and Ries Seijler (b. 1962), great-grandson of Gerrit Thomas Rietveld.

On June 25, 2004, at the 40th anniversary of Rietveld’s death, they founded their company of ‘RIETVELD by rietveld’.

Another quote: –“We intend to reproduce the furniture in our grandfather’s spirit and we will build the replicas as close to the originals as possible. We shall however apply present-day technologies when and where these enhance the quality of the furniture”.
